The demolition exercise in Calais continues following a court order last week.
Authorities promised to carry out the evacuation process humanely but the evictions have been marked by police violence and refugee protest.
About 100 police officers have been deployed to dismantle the camp that host thousands of asylum seekers.

Most makeshift shelters have already been destroyed and migrants are supposed to be moved to adapted containers and to other camps but some migrants still don’t know their next move.
“I don’t have any plan because I don’t know what I can do. If I go to camp, they are going to take my fingerprint. If I don’t go to camp, going outside is a problem, especially for the kids as well. I can’t stay outside. I don’t have any plan and I’m not really sure exactly what I can do.”
Officials in France say 800 to 1000 people live in the eviction area but a census organized by refugee organizations put the number at 3,455.
